Weʼve raised £170 to Help the monks of Norcia after the recent earthquakes that have devastated the region

Funded on Tuesday, 29th November 2016

Don't have time to donate right now?

    Story

The monks in Norcia live and worship in the historic birthplace of S. Benedict. All of them have been fortunate enough to survive the recent earthquake - but the tremors last night have destroyed the basilica.

The monks have begun a project to help rebuild Norcia and support the people of the region - it is called 'Deep Roots'

More information can be found here: https://en.nursia.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/DEEP-ROOTS-APPEAL-vs.-8.pdf

If you can help with the fundraising, even a few pounds, then please donate.

    Thank you

      Update from the Page owner

Dear all, thank you so very much for giving to support the monks in Norcia. This historic site is where S Benedict was born and suffered complete devastation during the recent series of earthquakes. The monks work tirelessly for the good of the local community and it is great to be able to support them as they rebuild for the future. Thank you again.

Am in Tuscany at the moment, having visited many beautiful Benedictine abbeys, it is a joy to give a little to help the monks.
