Last year my wife Hannah gave birth to our second child a beautiful baby boy Rafferty. At this time she noticed a lump in her neck and within 8 weeks she had been diagnosed with stage IV Papillary Thyroid Cancer.

The last 10 months have been extremely challenging to say the least but I am pleased to say that all treatment to this point has gone extremely well and Hannah is now back at work,

Prior and throughout treatment Judith the founder of Thyroid Cancer Support West provided emotional support and shared her own experiences of what to expect. That support proved to be invaluable in getting us through that period. I wanted to try to say thank you by raising some much needed funds to enable the charity to support other patients and their families.

I have decided to try to raise £2750 by cycling from Montpellier in Bristol to Montpellier in the south of France and I leave on the 9th of September. It will be 10 days of around 100 miles a day! The money raised would go a very long way so please donate for this amazing cause and my crazy challenge!
