    Story

Morence Mpora was educated by missionaries and passionately believes in the value of education. The Mpora Rural family home is a community based organisation supporting the poorest children and families in the region. there are two schools on site but recent flooding has catastrophically undermined the sewage system. This renovation work aims to provide clean water and an improved sewage system to prevent children contracting dysentery and diahorrea so that they can learn in a clean and healthy environment.
I met Morence when I was travelling around East Africa and have been back several times to visit the amazing children there. it is such a happy place and Morence has proved really resilient, coping with some terrible events in the past, such as when rebels arrived in the 1990s, as well as malaria and yes, OFSTED inspections!

Fantastic news. We have now funded a septic tank which is a brilliant start for the process of making the toilets safe at the primary and secondary schools. Thanks so much to all friends who have contributed and Happy Christmas

Fantastic. We have hit the first target and we are getting close to affording one of the septic tanks. Thanks so much everyone. I'm trying to think of ideas for a big fundraising event in the new year. All ideas welcome.

Really hoping I can get £5 from enough people so that we can start getting the toilets fixed and let these children go back to school.
