    Story

In memory of our son Louis, who was tragically killed in a car accident at the age of 22, we have established Music For Louis to provide musical instruments for children most in need in our communities. Louis was travelling in the backseat of a car to Manchester on the afternoon of May 21st 2016 when the car was hit by another vehicle. The driver of the other vehicle is currently being prosecuted for causing death by careless driving.

Louis was an extremely talented musician and was committed to helping others fulfil their potential. Music For Louis wishes to continue this work and honour his memory through the music he loved so much.

Music For Louis was launched on the first anniversary of his passing. We believe access to musical education helps the healthy development of children, can encourage creativity and offer positive reinforcement. This initiative aims to give children from all backgrounds the opportunity to play music on good quality instruments. Music For Louis is an all volunteers organisation. We have zero overheads and everyone involved is giving up their time and skills for free. All monies raised on this page goes toward providing musical instruments for children.

We believe all children should have access to musical education and the opportunity to learn to play music on good quality instruments in a supportive learning environment. Sadly this is not currently the case. In communities facing many social and economic challenges we believe music can break down barriers and provide opportunities for children. By supporting Music For Louis you will be providing much needed support and equipment for children that may otherwise be denied.
