Mwajuma is 6 years old, a double orphan, deaf, and HIV positive. She lives at Seeway Tanzania (SWTz - www.swtz.org), a residential centre for children in Maji ya Chai, close to Arusha in northern Tanzania. She lives there with 19 other children.

Mwajuma has the most amazing smile and laugh, and being around her always feels like a blessing.

Mwajuma and the other kids at SWTz do get love and compassion from the caretakers, volunteers and administration. However each child is there for a reason. Mwajuma, although bright and healthy despite her HIV status, can not communicate. This of course hampers her education and prevents her from moving onto primary school from nursery.
I ask for your help, any donation would go a long way towards helping her.

It is my hope that by supporting Mwajuma by raising £1,500 GB she can maintain her hearing aids, attend follow-up clinics, and also attend sign language lessons so that she can learn to communicate effectively.

£1,500 GB would cover the cost of TWO years of batteries, clinics, and go towards the cost of speech therapy/sign language clinics and resources, by which time we hope Mwajuma can graduate to primary school.

The costs for two years are estimated as follows:
1. Batteries: £70
2. Six follow-up clinics in Dar es Salaam (travel, lodging, food, clinic): £990
3. Speech therapy clinics/resources: £440 Total: £1,500
