I am cycling 500 miles around the north coast of Scotland from 4th - 10th May this year. I never thought for a minute about trying to raise money off the back of this trip, but it is a challenge and if by completing it I can raise money for a worthwhile cause, then all the better. After having a chat with a friend, they told me about this fund which has been set up in memory of a young mum called Sarah Jackson. It is a cause which I know is truly helping the local community of Otley by supporting worthy projects. Whilst I never knew Sarah personally, in my capacity as a local funeral director I did look after the arrangements for her family when she passed away so suddenly and tragically last year. At the time I have to say that I was knocked sideways by the events that had unfolded for Sarah's family and friends. If I could raise a little bit of money to help support this amazing cause then it would mean an awful lot to her family, friends and the local community.
