We are a team of 6 volunteers currently on a 12-month training programme at CICD (College for International Cooperation and Development). CICD is an educational institution in England that has a partnership with Humana People to People, an NGO that sends volunteers to work in development projects all over the world.

In February we will be posted in the National Headquarters of DAPP, (Development Aid from People to People) for 6 months. DAPP is an organisation that has been actively involved in long term development projects in Zambia for 26 years. We will contribute our work and ideas in several projects including Child Aid, which involves training vulnerable youth in skills with a focus on reproductive health, entrepreneurship, prevention of common diseases, hygiene and nutrition; HOPE, which provides HIV education and counselling as well as testing services to try and control the epidemic and The Farmer's Club who promote climate smart agriculture an entrepreneurship in order to improve food security for families. We also have plans to start up our own projects.

Our goal is to find ways to improve people's lives by teaching them new skills and giving them starting points so they can carry on developing their communities independently after we leave.

We need to raise money to make our vision and involvement become reality. So far we have already raised half of the money required and are doing all we can to reach our goal.
