Northern Ireland Exotic Sanctuary is the only dedicated reptile rescue in the country, taking in unwanted, abandoned and neglected animals.

At any given time we have between 80 and 100 animals in our care, some requiring medical treatment and rehabilitation, while others are completing their mandatory quarantine period or waiting for their new forever home. We also have a handful of permanent residents, who for various health or legal reasons can never be rehomed. They will have a safe and secure place with us until the end of their natural lives.

Our everyday running costs are in excess of £1300 per month (before variables such as vets bills etc) and we receive no funding or grants for this. Instead our small team of three trustees work tirelessly to fundraise on top of providing care for our animals.
