I needed to write this, as last Monday the 27th February 2017, and while doing their "weekly" shopping in Asda on cherry tree road in Blackpool, our little "old" grandparents (well our nana), had her handbag stolen! I say stolen, as they went for their breakfast in the Asda cafe (as they usually do before they then go shopping). And nana (age 86) had hooked her bag on one of the chairs, at the table they were sat at. The cafe was apparently so busy, that our grandad (age 88), waved to a young man pushing a pushchair, who was looking for a table to sit at. The man took their table and our grandparents then left the cafe and proceeded to the main store to do their shopping. On coming to the end of their shop, and going to pay, our nana realised that she didn't have her bag! The CCTV has been checked and she is seen entering the store with it! So as she said, it was left on the chair in the cafe... If ANYONE has any information they could share on the incident in question, please get in touch or contact the police with your information, to which they know of the incident in question. Unfortunately, nothing can be done, as their is no CCTV in the area of question, working! And it only shows her entering the store with her bag, and obviously then having to leave without it!
She is extremely upset and it really knocked her (and our grandad)! As not only did she have all of her medications in her handbag, she had door keys (to which their locks had to be changed), car keys (to which locks had to be changed), mobile phone, family photos, lots of various documents/letters and a LARGE amount of CASH 😩 which she had been saving!!! I know, try telling a 86 year old lady that you can't carry around cash like that! But she had been "saving" bless her!!! She is so upset, not just about the money, but about all of her personal belongings mainly! Plus all of the inconveniences this has caused them, and the thought that these people would know where they live now! I know this won't
