Hi everyone!

We all know Naomi Gruitt as a TAG rugby player and friend. I am not sure how long she has been playing TAG rugby - much longer than I have - but I remember her as one of the first players who helped me to learn the rules and to stop making a fool out of myself on the pitch! (Something I am still struggling to master!)

I was lucky enough to have Naomi on my team for the league this year. Sadly Naomi let me know after the first match that she is not very well and needs to start a course of chemotherapy this year followed by surgery early next.

Obviously I was very sad to hear this and hoped that we could all come together to show how much we care about this fantastic and inspirational player, person and mother.

The donations on this Just Giving page will go direct to Naomi along with a card and flowers from us all. You might like to leave a personal comment with your donation which Naomi will also be able to read when the campaign finished. If you cannot afford to donate anything please leave your well-wishes in the comments below and we will make sure that she gets to see it.

Obviously a financial contribution is great - it will hopefully mean that Naomi can treat herself to a weekend away, or something special with her daughter Elsye over Christmas - but showing that we all care and that she has a lot of friends will mean so much to Naomi.
