I've raised £250 to Give funds to the Heulwen Day Unit, North Wales Cancer Treatment Centre at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd.

I am raising money by running the Halloween Porth Eirias 10km run on Saturday 26th October as recently a close family member has been diagnosed with cancer. They are undergoing treatment and have asked that I raise money for the Heulwen Day Unit, where they receive their treatment.
Cancer has and will affect us all throughout our lifetime, whether it be a work colleague, friend, family member or ourselves. It's not until you experience it closely that it truly hits what a cruel disease this can be. The support from the day unit has been a godsend in giving confidence and trust in the treatment process. No question or request is too small and I've been told on good authority that the food is top notch! 👌🏻
For anyone who knows me, they'll know I'm not a runner and rugby is my main form of hidden exercise. This will be a massive challenge for me and I have started to dedicate my time in training for the event, even in the cold, rainy weather!
It's times like this that supportive networks, including the day unit, are highlighted. Please give anything you can to help the Heulwen Day Unit continue to do their amazing work and support those suffering with cancer.
