My husbands story in his own words :

After several years of poor health due to kidney failure I was blessed to receive a kidney and pancreas transplant in December 2001. This changed my life almost overnight in such a positive way. In 2013 I was introduced to the British Transplant Games by the fabulous people in the Royal Liverpool Transplant Sports Team and have had the pleasure of competing in three games in total since then. I have been lucky enough to win medals at all three games and as a result I have been selected to represent GB and NI in the World Transplant Games next summer. It is a real honour to be selected and help to raise the profile of the importance of organ donation.
I am planning to complete the 12km cannock chase circular walk on Sunday 2nd October, during which every step I take will be in memory of my donor and to be thankful for the miracle of organ donation. I would be so grateful if you could spare a few pounds to help me raise money to help me represent my country and also to raise funds for the great work the people at the Royal Liverpool Transplant Sports Team do in promoting organ donation and post transplant health and wellbeing.
