I used to be such a free spirit, nature lover, loved nothing more than to grab my tent and sleeping bag, pack my little bag and tootle off on adventures with my furkid.
Some years later, I was lucky enough to meet a wonderful man who shared my passion for adventure and in time we managed to save up enough for a small caravan. We travelled around seeing such beautiful and hidden places, meeting wonderful like minded people and thoroughly enjoying every moment.
Sadly, I became really ill and developed numerous illnesses that put an abrupt end to our adventures. It left me with a massive gaping hole in my life that I could not fill. I was cared for by my partner with such love and understanding and I was so grateful to have him around.
In recent years I have become more mobile, still very much in need of help as I often struggle, but the massive need for adventure and travelling never left me and I started to yearn so badly to experience the joys of doing this again... and so I began my search, a search for a small van that would accommodate me and my needs, sadly I could not find anything and in my search I came across so many other people in my position. Disabled adventurers who had had to give up everything they loved simply because they were no longer as mobile as they had once been and people who would love to experience an adventure but had never had the opportunity because no caravan or camper van could accommodate them or their equipment.
So I decided it would be my mission to buy a minibus, to convert it into a camper van that was accommodating for disabled and less able bodied adventurers and their needs and take all these amazing people on road trips all over the UK. I have scoured selling sites and garages and found a number of vehicles that would be perfect. I have priced up what would be needed to make this a reality and I believe that £15'0000 would be enough to make this dream come true, not just for myself but for all the other adventurers too!
