I'm trying to help my sister financially, she was left with nothing by her abusive ex partner.

She is currently staying with me, she's not fit to work at the moment and she is about to lose her house that she is renting. Her partner didn't pay the rent to several months or bills.
I'm trying to get her back on her feet.

For once on her life she believed she found her true love, the one that made her heart beat so fast everytime she thought of him.
The one that brought her flowers and made her feel like no one ever did.
Within months he asked to move in with her and she could not wait to wake up everyday with the love of her life.
Everytime we spoke she told me stories, didn't seem right, some words made realise that she trapped her self on her fairytale, I could no see a happy ending.
They had plans, a wedding, having children, move far away... but I was worried because she was loosing her freedom. He pushed her family away, friends, neighbors.
She was lost, and she refused help, she believed things will only get better.
I gave her space, it did hurt, but she could only help herself and I would be there when she needed my help.
It took her over 2 years to realize that she was living with a man that invaded her space, he not only took her freedom but almost destroyed her live... yes almost because she is still standing, she will get stronger and one day she will be herself again but stronger than before.

Domestic abuse causes so much damage to a person, not only physically or emotionally as well as fincacial.

That man is no longer part of her life, but he left her in debt, no money on her bank account, and three months of rent to pay plus all the bills.
