Hi thanks for visiting my page, I am 17 years old and have been accepted to go to Camp Thailand in June 2017.This is a month long trip where I will be volunteering in the local schools to teach English as a foreign language and running sporting activities for the children.

I will be completing a TEFL ( Teaching English as a Foreign Language) course before I go to Thailand which allows me to teach English all over the world!. The course will give me the skills and confidence I will need to teach English in a classroom. I will be taught how to interact with students, how to make lessons fun and interesting and also how to motivate and involve each member of the class. At the end of my trip there will be a graduation day in which I will receive my TEFL certificate.

I will work in the schools for 4 hours a day teaching english then we will do sporting activities with children and will take them for days out to visit the places in Thailand which they might not have experienced yet. I will also spend one day a week going to the elephant conservation village, feeding and bathing these amazing animals in the near by river.

Near the end of my trip we will visit an orphange to give them gifts and will spend the day doing fun activities with them such as sports, singing and teaching them songs and just being their friend for the day!

I am looking forward to going to Camp Thailand because I want to make a difference to those who are less fortunate than us, even if that is just by giving them a simple gift that we might find useless but it will mean the world to them. I believe that this will be a great experience for me and will help me grow as an individual.

Now I need your help! In order for me to go to Thailand and do these things I will need to raise as much money as I can by having fundraisers throughout the year& would greatly appreciate anyone who contributes to this. Even a little donation will go a long way.
