    Story

We hope to provide aid to an extremely poor village in Siem Reap, Cambodia - the Slogram Commune.

We are 2 Irish girls who travelled to S.E Asia & had an encounter in a coffee shop with a tuk tuk driver called Nareach - 1 of the most hard working souls we have ever met - we spoke about his village & decided we wanted to help them.

The following day we visited the village - ate with them, saw their living conditions & heard their stories. It was heartbreaking getting a real insight into their level of suffering. The class divide in Cambodia is very real - it's shocking that the village is just 10 mins away from some of the richest hotels in Siem Reap

We met with a man who is trying to organise aid for the families but is lacking the people and resources to do it all. We made some plans about where the money we raise will go:

Toiletries - soap, sanitary products, toothbrushes etc.

    Rice & vegetables

Clothes & shoes - many children are walking around hostile terrain in bare feet

Basic medical supplies - first aid kits, rash creams as many children have skin conditions, eye drops, medication for fevers. Basically all the things we are so blessed to walk into a chemist and get with no trouble at all

Mattresses/bedding - many people are sleeping on concrete floors

Insect deterant measures - mosquito nets, repellents

Paper/ colouring books & colouring pencils - many of these children do not attend school due to lack of transportation & are so excited to do some art

** In the immediate future we are going to host a day in the village with a big buffet and all cook Khmer (Cambodian) food together & bring paper and pencils for the children

Depending on how much we raise we hope to get some bikes for the children to get transportation for the free government run school here, and a water purifier for the village - the quality of the water here is atrocious, and many people are very ill because of it

    Please help us help them!
