    Story

Social Media is the platform that allows us to reach out and converse with others, creating immediate interaction and an informative network for modern society. Social media has become such an intrinsic part of the modern era, with more and more people using it as their primary source for information and engagement with the Global Community. However, every day there are shocking headlines about teenage suicides, mental health implications and other dreadful results of cyberbullying, and online abuse. The issue of online safety has become one of the most worrying aspects for the modern parent.
The NO NEVER EVER campaign is an initiative to reach out to parents and educational institutions to make them aware, not only of the urgent need to combat this raging virus that is damaging our children’s mental health, but also to get the whole country mobilized behind the cause. Social media abuse is rife and it’s not going to go away. The very providers that make millions of pounds from supplying the means to allow extreme cyberbullying and ever more evil internet practices, are unwilling to help stamp out this menace - so someone has to speak up, and fast. That’s where we come in.
The NO NEVER EVER campaign is not designed to prohibit Social Media, in fact social media plays a vital role in the campaign itself. Nor does the Campaign pretend to know all the answers, instead the aim of the campaign is raise awareness of the issue so that providers themselves are forced to create greater safeguards and protection for our young and those most at risk. NO NEVER EVER is not going to change things overnight and we certainly don’t want to see social media disappear, but we hope that our campaign message will permeate much deeper, to ensure that providers take due responsibility for their product and to play a significant part in vastly decreasing the number of young victims out there. If we save just one life from being ruined, then all our efforts have beenworth something!
