In April 2016 my amazing father was diagnosed with terminal cancer. He unfortunately lost his battle with this horrible disease in the early hours of 17th November. Anybody who met him knows how much he cared about others over himself and always had time to help people who were less fortunate than himself.

My parents have always and will always be big supporters of DePaul Newcastle Homeless charity. They support homeless people living on the streets of the North East. They also support families who find themselves without somewhere to call home. The support starts from packs to help people get through the week with food parcels and hygine packs. Through to people and families being placed in hostels and safe places.

Over the years my father has always helped to raise money for this cause through raffles at events such as Christmas parties. He helped with a big drive that we did as a family last winter to make up shoe boxes and gift bags for homeless people. To give them things that we take for granted and show them that people care about their predicament.

For my fathers funeral we are having family flowers only so we are asking in replace of a bunch of flowers or a card. We would appreciate a donation to this cause so we can all help people and families feel loved like we have felt.
