Offerton Cricket Club are having a massive issue with off road bikes. Our outfield and square are maintained by volunteers so the whole community can enjoy them all year round. The council and the police have not been able to stop the damage to our club. As such, we need your help to raise the funds that will secure our playing fields.

In recent years we have seen a rise in malicious damage inflicted upon them that vastly changes how they can be used. It directly affects the local community and the access they, and their, children have to maintained green space.

The club save £1800 a year for professionals to return the square to a great standard ready for the next summer. We also spend £400 on a simple fence to clearly indicate the area that needs to be protected. In 2022 and now 2023 this fence has been kicked down and bikes ridden with the sole intention to cause damage to the grassed area while it is at it's most vulnerable.

We are asking for your support in buying a fence that properly protects the area, to purchase the required materials to repair the damage done in the pictures above and to purchase CCTV in the hope we can protect our ground to ensure this facility stays open for all. All year round.

We are totally transparent and all funds will be invested into the club as follows:

£1200 for the fencing. £350 for materials.£1250 for the CCTV.

We will also do all we can to raise funds from other sources and update through this page if that happens. All money raised will be invested back into the club as it always is.

Anybody who donates £25 or above will receive a letter of thanks and social membership for the 2024 season. That entitles the member to 10% off room hire and bar prices for the whole year. This will start from date of donation until 31st December 2024.

We are a community club. We want the best for the community. Can you help us give you the best facilities possible?
