We are raising money to buy school books and supplies for the community school in the majority Afghani Oinofyta regugee camp near Athens.

The school's staff are trying to put together a coherent, linear curriculum which pupils can progress through and is easily followed by the often-changing volunteer teaching staff. The teachers are working incredibly hard everyday to provide the children of the camp with the best education they can, and providing them with adequate resources will help them to give them as broad and complete base of knowledge as possible, will help enormously.

With 50% of refugee children failing to receive even a primary education, projects like this have never been more important. Having fled their home country, these children deserve at the very least the opportunity of an education which we often take for granted. The skills and knowledge which children develop at this age can be invaluable in the rest of their lives and empower them to start new lives after theirs has been torn apart.
