We are a non profit community team and are all volunteers from the community of Old Windsor
As a community response team we can attend the initial missing person call outs before the police arrive with their assets, we are also asked to respond to fire, gas/water leaks, road traffic collisions, road closures and flooding, assist in first aid and casualty evacuations and emergency service asset and resources movement.

In the community we can providing event marshaling, first aid cover and assist other near by communities. We can provide Basic First aid and CPR training with the introduction to the use of public defibrillators, and water awareness and safety.

A full 4x4 will give us a better platform to carry out our response and enable us to carry a wider range of equipment to assist in more types of incident and this will be more of an asset to the emergency services and community.

The reasoning for an updated 4x4 is that it will work more effectively in extreme weather conditions and flood events as it can be better equipped than our present vehicle, carry more equipment and provide a platform more suitable for the task we asked or required to carry out.

The team was established in October 2013 in partnership with the Old Windsor Parish Council as part of the borough self-help resilience program and can be call out by the Parish Council, RBWM emergency planning officer, Police, Ambulance, fire service and Crown estate response to provide first aid, marshaling, fire watch, manpower, 4x4 transport and opening and running a survival center for displaced persons and casualties prior to the Borough rest center being put in place, the team consists of a core of ten full members and is blustered by community volunteers.
