Story
On 20th August 2023 our daughter Ophelia was born at 27 weeks weighing 546g (1lb 3oz), following complications with the pregnancy. At two days old we were moved from our local hospital to Manchester Childrens Hospital due to concerns with Ophelia’s bowels. As new Parents this time has been extremely hard for us, staying in Parent Accomodation to be close to her.
Recently we have been moved back to our local hospital and on the second day back we had our car stolen from the hospital car park which had lots of our belongings in but more importantly Ophelia’s belongings; gifts, premature baby clothes, nappys, her preemie Octopus which she held onto during the first few days of her life when we could not hold her.
We are raising money so that we can replace her belongings and other important items from the car, including a tommee tippee steriliser, her birth certificate and of course her clothes and gifts. The money raised will also help us travel to see her everyday now that we cannot stay with her and help us manage the day to day life of being at the hospital everyday.
