What do you want for christmas? A phone? A laptop? ... A Bed? Well, hundreds of people around manchester just want a safe, warm place to sleep. While you're reading this, sat in your warm house with your full bellies, people all over manchester need our help.

In college, I have been given a photography assignment to make something ugly look beautiful. While doing my research about the topic, I discovered lots of images of homeless people. Because of this, I decided I wanted my subject to be homeless people, as this is something that isn't talked about enough. At first, I wanted to spend some of my night talking to/taking images of homeless people, but then me and my mum decided we could do more than that. This then led to the idea that instead of making pictures of homeless people look beautiful, we could do a beautiful thing and take pictures of that... So here it goes.

Me and my mum (Becki) have decided we want to raise money to make backpacks filled with items to make their night a little warmer.

These items include:
Their own backpack
Gloves
Hat
Warm socks
Therma/Travel mug
Sleeping bag

If you have any of these items available and would like to donate them, we would really appreciate it! If not but you would still like to help, you can make a donation (as big or as small as you can afford) on our justgiving website and we can buy the things ourselves to fill the backpacks.

We know its coming up to christmas and money is tight but if you could even just spare one pound, you could help put a smile on a homeless persons face. After all, every penny counts!
