🎉 UPDATE message from Pavel. The power of media and you all made Home Office to give a priority in reviewing the case. I’ve just received a phone call from the immigration officer who apologised for the delays. In light of current circumstances and what went through media they reviewed the case and GRANTED me Settled status on given evidence. I don’t know how much I all owe you for that huge support you given me. I’ll continue to giving back to local community as much as I can. I am not closing the case fully. My plan is to get in touch with the Non-profit organisation the3million and see how I can actively join them to help in others. This organisation is giving a voice to EU citizens, campaigning to protect pre-Brexit rights. Thank you.
Also, a donation will be made to TASC, The Ambulance service Charity. Thank you to everyone who contributed. Thank you x
Pav has been living in England since January 2017, working as a paramedic for East Midlands Ambulance Service. He was originally recruited to the UK by EMAS as he was the best in his field! Pav is a huge asset to our community, he is regularly called to local emergencies and always gives everything he has. The Village/Country would be a lesser place without his dedication and commitment. He was recently declined his Settled Status under an EU scheme which would give him the indefinite right to remain in the UK. This is only a requirement since Brexit. He has only left the UK for holidays or trips home to Czech. The Home Office has declined him the right to stay after November 2024 based on the fact that some of their automated systems couldn’t match his records with HMRC and National Insurance. He has contributed to the economy by paying his tax and national insurance for the last 7 years. The Solicitors have so far, cost £940 and he has been quoted at least a further £2000 to continue the fight with no guarantee he can remain in the UK. In order to pay this Pav has had to borrow money from family which is a massive financial burden even without the additional £2000 he may need to borrow.
If you would like to help Pav remain in country he calls home and contribute to this fight we would be extremely grateful.
All funds will be used solely for legal fees, anything that is additional will be donated to the Charity TASC's who provide a range of services to support the mental wellbeing of ambulance staff including counselling and specialist services for trauma and PTSD.
