On my travels to Sri-Lanka, I went to visit the small village where my dad grew up. It was here that I finally got to see the wonderful work done by the PAPA Charity Organisation. Over recent years, they have set up a safe home and place of education for children who are not as fortunate as our own, several without parents or adults to take care of them.

These children have the bare minimum and there is still much to do. On my visit, I was astounded by the conditions in which they live, in particular the bathroom facilities.

This is where you all can help me! The main aim of this fundraiser is to build a new, fully functioning bathroom and toilet with solid foundations and weather withstanding plumbing.

The estimated cost to do this will be 6000 GBP. The government has agreed to oversee the entire project and ensure that it meets local health and safety regulations.

These children were so full of life and energy. Despite the little that they have, they still remain hopeful and dream big! They deserve to grow up (like all of us do) in a clean and safe environment - and you can make this possible!
