Here's the story! Some cruel people in the world

I was conned by Lorraine Armitage, from East Anglia. This woman agreed to buy my beautiful patchwork sofa (those who visited my little studio would have had the pleasure of setting their eyes on this beaut!) for £300.00 on eBay. She agreed to pay an additional £60.00 for delivery from Bury to Ipswich. On the morning of said delivery she phoned me in a very polite, friendly manner and explained she had transferred money but it may not show until lunch time (it was being delivered at 8am). As it was the last day of my tenancy at my studio and was moving premises with a 5 month old baby in tow, I took the risk. Nice people who respond to texts and call you aren't con artists are they?! How wrong was I! After 9 months of many phone calls, texts and a small claims case, I admit defeat and am accepting the money is long gone. Apparently I am in a VERY long line of people chasing her for money. She has since been evicted from 2 properties, and I am in the long list of victims ranging from home removals, landlords, Indian takeaways and home storage firms. These businesses have lost thousands and thousands of pounds, and have had no joy so I'm throwing the towel in and saying bye bye to my £360.00
