@Peace C.I.C is a new organisation aiming to open and operate a wellness centre in the heart of Kendal. Mental health and wellbeing is very close to the hearts of the 3 company directors.
In the current climate access to services aimed towards improving the mental wellbeing are timely, restricted or simply unaffordable to some. We want to change that and operate a centre with access for all.
@Peace aims to deliver counselling, massage therapy, flotation tanks and a sensory room. We want our services available to all. We do not want the cost of a service to be a barrier to access. We are also looking to provide a community cafe and retail outlet to allow revenue generation to fund the therapies for individuals.

Our company has 3 directors. Danielle Hannam, Mark Watson and Gary Pettit.

Danielle has over 10 years experience in social care, supporting children and adults with a variety of needs. Danielle is passionate about mental well-being after being diagnosed with CPTSD and is aware of the difficulties individuals face while awaiting further treatment. "I was lucky enough to have a brilliant support team around me, but I am aware that some people aren't as lucky. @Peace aims to be a safe, secure place for anyone who needs it."

Mark is ex-military and was diagnosed with PTSD in 1989. Mark has worked as an accountant for over 25 years. For the last 2 years Mark has operated as a personal trainer and massage therapist. "I am fully aware of the struggles we all face on a daily basis and how situations have a negative impact on our mental wellbeing."
Having received assistance for his PTSD in 2015, Mark has dedicated time to help others struggling. "Our NHS is overwhelmed with waiting lists to support mental health. What happens while you're waiting for treatment? We want to give people a place to go to receive help and support while they wait. It's essential"

Gary is also ex-military and also diagnosed with PTSD. Gary and Mark met on a veterans course in the Lake District. "I see the suffering of so many people and I want to help. I was fortunate to receive that help but there are so many falling through the cracks. "
