    What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

Pedestrian is a charity that provides education and training to young people at risk and vulnerable adults; individuals whom are often socially excluded and from disadvantaged backgrounds. We believe that with the right levels of support and timely intervention everyone can achieve their goals. We call this work 'Pioneering Potential.

We have a strong track record of delivering the very best high quality activity that has seen us complete over 9,000 workshops since 1998.

Our programmes and courses embed proven mechanisms that develop confidence, emotional resilience and increase self- esteem. This in turn leads to success in a variety of forms including employment, job creation and education progression.

The busines box course focuses on equipping students with entrepreneurial insight whilst building their career aspirations. ‘Business Box’ has been designed for KS4 students who are disengaged at school, at risk of exclusion or are excluded across Leicester city schools.

Learners design and implement their own enterprise projects achieving Level 1 and 2 accreditation, but currently have no start-up funding to help realise their ambitions.

The enterprise projects will give our students unique first hand experience of running a business project from start to finish, including planning, marketing and evaluating the success of their projects.

We are looking to raise a small pot of £400 to act as seed funding for these projects, with any surplus raised used to further enrich the learning experience for our cohort. Should this seed funding support our learners to create profitable enterprise project it is our aim to recoup the budget for future years of the programme, creating a sustaina pot of seed funding for our learners.
