Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
There are approximately 60,000 out-of-hospital Cardiac Arrests each year in the UK.
Early defibrillation is an essential life saving step in the chain of survival. Anyone can use a defibrillator with no training.
If used promptly, a defibrillator can increase the chance of survival of out-of-hospital Cardiac Arrest from 7% to 40-50%.
My name is James King and I’m a Community First Responder for the Welsh Ambulance Service.
I have identified the need for a 24 hour public access defibrillator for Penarth Esplanade and have a proposed location of the front wall of the Lifeboat Station
Please watch this NHS video about the importance of Defibrillators.

About the fundraiser
Penarth, United Kingdom
I've been a First Responder with the Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust since November 2015. I understand first hand how important a defibrillator is to be readily available for anyone at any time.
* JustGiving crowdfunders pay a small fee for our service. Find out how much it is and what we do for it.
