I've raised £10000 to Install a new cricket net for April 2024

There is some great news at the Cricket Club. We are pleased to announce that we have been granted planning permission for a new permanent training net to enhance the facilities at our beautiful ground. This will be situated behind the club house; you may have noticed, there has been some optimistic clearance work undertaken already! However, we really need the help of all our members to raise some funds to make this plan a reality.
To make the most of this facility, our aim is to get this installed before the outdoor season starts, but we can‘t do this without the funds available.
The intention is to install a single lane training facility similar to the picture above. This will provide us with a location to train and practice all year round making us less vulnerable to the British weather! It also extends our ground allowing more people to have the pleasure of playing at Penshurst.
The staggering cost of installing one of these is £27,000 including VAT. Thanks to a number of grants previously secured, we have a significant portion of this available already but we still need in the region of £10,000. We are looking at options for other grants but as a club we will need to raise some money ourselves. We will be arranging some fundraising events which we would be grateful for your support with but in the meantime, if you feel able to make a donation towards this, no matter how small, it would be immensely appreciated.
Additionally, if any of the companies you work for/with might be interested in a sponsorship opportunity with signage attached to the net, please get in touch with Jake directly.
