As most of you know by now, my brother was attacked in Marseille by Russian Ultras just prior to Englands first Euros game. After he was knocked unconscious he was then attacked with a metal bar sustaining serious head injuries. He also suffered a heart attack at the scene and his life was saved by a French police officer named Patrice Martin. Pepe spent nearly three weeks in the brilliant 'La Timone' hospital and has now been flown back to the UK. He has progressed well but has a long road to recovery.
The support given by people from all over the world has been overwhelming, and the original Just Giving page reached a total of just over £27500. We had to close that page to gain access to the funds, to enable us to pay for an Air Ambulance, Ambulances, Doctors and nurses, and everything that goes with that kind of operation. The balance was transferred into his fund raising account.
The second fund raising page has now reached the maximum number of days (120). The total raised was a fantastic £1230.00 and this will be transferred into his fund raising account when cleared.Thank you to everyone that donated, it really does means a lot and will help with getting Andy back onto the road of a normal life.. As there are still loads of fundraising events going on it was decided to open another page so we still have an easy way to people to donate and keep up with his progress.Thanks again for all your support, donations and fund raising efforts.
