I've raised £20000 to assist in conservation of the endangered Suffolk Punch Horse by the Suffolk Punch Trust through energy efficiency to reduce overheads

GREEN PUNCH TRUST FUND
• The Suffolk Punch is the oldest English breed of working horse and the Trust is a charity founded to protect this critically endangered animal through its established breeding programme and by training a new generation of professionals to work with these iconic horses. www.thesuffolkpunchtrust.co.uk
• The Suffolk Punch is a historic and important part of East Anglian culture and the Trust is playing a vital role in conservation of this species nationally and internationally.
• The Trust has prioritised the progression of the Suffolk facility into a global centre of excellence and is seeking additional funds to protect its conservation efforts
• Underpinning the entire strategy is the aim to make the charity as eco-friendly as possible and to maximise the use of sustainable energy sources.
• Obviously, as energy costs continually rise, this will significantly benefit the outgoings of the Trust and assist in deployment of funds to its fundamental aims as well as assisting in net zero objectives
• Recently a small group of friends have completed new fundraising efforts resulting in installation of 48 solar panels on the Visitor Centre which will allow the trust to become self-sufficient for energy and this is already having a real impact on costs.
• The next phase in the project is to install a battery system to back this up which will go a long way to making the Trust more energy efficient and release more funds towards direct conservation of this iconic animal
We are now seeking an additional £20,000 to complete this work and any contributions will be very gratefully received
