Our local school, Smannell and Enham Church of England Primary School, lies in the beautiful Test Valley area of Hampshire. The school grounds reflect the rural surroundings; with many varieties of trees changing with the seasons to provide us with a rich stimulating environment. This is marvellous for playing in on sunny summer days. However, our playground is a bit bare.

We would really like to improve the play facilities for the children by installing some adventure play equipment, this is likely to cost around £12000. The advantages are many and varied for example climbing and crawling improves gross motor skills which has an impact on fine motor skills such as handwriting.

Neil & I are taking in the "Race To The Stones" over the weekend of 15/16 July. We will be running 100km and are hoping to start and finish on the 15th, rest on 16th and back to work on 17th! We will have Wonder Woman (real name Louise (Oliver's mum)) supporting us along the way - well, most probably giving us orders to get a move on!

We want to do this run to help our local school children benefit from an improved playground. Any donations / sponsorship are greatly recieved & will all help our local school.
