Story
In 1972, a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit.
These men promptly escaped from a maximum-security stockade.
Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire. The A-Team
We were not this crack team of Commandos - but we were young people (once - and still are in mind, if not body) who joined various branches of the Armed Services, to defend the free world - (And to have a good time whilst we were doing it.)
One such dedicated individual was George 'Poncho' Imrie.
A ninja clerk of the highest order, who could staple the shit out of a stack of papers in 30 seconds flat.
A quality football player, at least in the bar shouting at the TV, a Casanova with the ladies, providing he met them BEFORE he went to the bar and a singer and delightful drinker whenever he went to the bar - despite suffering from the Scottish sickness of short arms and deep pockets.
Poncho gives his all for his family, friends and country - he did then... and still does now.
As is Poncho's way, he never does things by half, and whilst trying his second favourite hobby of balcony bungee, he fell on his head - which under normal circumstances, would have been the safest thing to land on, but on this occasion, he managed to break his neck - and suffered life changing injuries, which includes paralysis.
Poncho is approaching this in his normal - 'suck it up' attitude - and great support from his partner Moira, and his family.
But - I'm sure that we, his extended family and friends. can try to make their life a bit easier .
A few of us are intending to do the 3 Peaks challenge next year - but as a training event - Todd & I have signed up for a 13 mile winter fell run

So splash some cash - more events to follow
