Who is behind this initiative?

The Pony Family are working in partnership with Arthur David to deliver this. "It has been an idea for ages and its great to see this come to fruition. Immersing ourselves into the community is behind all we do. Seeing the bus busy and active, going out to suburbs and helping to alleviate food insecurities is important but we also want to keep this fun". Josh Eggleton

What will be on the bus?

The team are converting a bus to take important information out to people. Complete with a live growing system,(hydroponics) chickens, planters, demonstration platform, kitchen, dining and picnic areas and a library of resources, it really will have everything it needs in a compact and mobile space!

Who can use the bus?

The bus would be taken to schools, festivals, corporate events and community events. We would love to see the bus out and about as much as possible. Anyone can apply to use it

What is the purpose of the bus?

Josh Eggleton and the team believe in making nutritious and affordable food accessible and inspiring all individuals, regardless of income or location. Whilst we have welcoming spaces & resources that are available to diverse communities to promote cultural exchange and appreciation already, we wanted something to take out to communities and groups that aren't able to visit one of our sites.

Understanding where our food comes from and empowering people with knowledge about food origins, sustainability practices, nutritional benefits, & cooking techniques is key to this project. It will offer educational opportunities such as cooking classes, workshops, & informational resources to promote food literacy and empower healthier food choices.

How will the funds raised be used?

All monies raised will go towards fitting out the bus for all to use. There will be no charge for community groups, charities and schools to use so we will put any funds towards its launch and roll out.
