Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
Porpoi is a school for approximately 350 vulnerable girls who are at risk of early marriage, genital mutilation (FGM), orphaned and other situations. The school was burnt down on 30th August 2016, the fire was started deliberately. This has left the girls without so many things. One of the dormitories was not badly damaged, so that is being used as a classroom until the school is rebuilt and fully resourced. This is impacting on the girls as their education is being disrupted and has left the vulnerable again, as many of them will not be able to be resident at the school, and no-one knows exactly what will happen to these girls.
My Husband, Phil, has had his hair dyed pink, in an effort to raise as much money for the school as possible. Any donations will be gratefully received, no matter how small.
Please help these children to have an education, thus giving them a chance of having a better life in the future.
