Postman Bob has been the ‘Pillar’ Box of the Irthlingborough/Wellingborough community for decades! Bob is due to retire in August 2024!

Over the years Bob’s engaging personality and unwavering commitment and dedication to his Royal Mail role has bought much joy to the people he delivered letters and parcels to, particularly the Crow Hill, Irthlingborough residents and community. Bob is a credit to Royal Mail and they are lucky to have had him in their employment for so many years. An end of an era indeed!!

So please may I ask, as a final thank you for his ‘come rain or shine’ service, that you join me in raising a ‘toast’ to Bob by way of some ‘just giving’ funds. He can then choose do whatever he wants, like have a dinner out, some beer or both!

We will present this ‘Just Giving’ to Bob on or near his day of retirement at the Crow Hill Community Centre, Irthlingborough, where all would be welcome. Further details to follow.
