Weʼve raised £200 to Support our Ladies competing in the Prestwich Challenge 2017 & help us raise money for Chorley Ladies FC Development

Funded on Friday, 30th June 2017

    What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

Chorley Ladies FC was formed in 1983, since then the club has grown beyond it's wildest expectations and now the Ladies compete in the FA Women's Premier League Northern Division 1, competing against teams like Hull City and Leeds United.

For years the club has struggled along self-funding itself but the time has come to ask people for their support (in whatever way they can) as tough financial times and restraints by the Premier League are taking it's toll on a small town club.

The Club has made the decision to develop a 2nd open age team from 2017-18, this decision will in itself mean that the club must find outsider funding to be able to survive. All other clubs in the FA Premier League have at least 1 other open age team to support their 1st team and we find ourselves behind in terms of structure.

Chorley Ladies play their home games at Euxton Villa FC and we are beginning to form links with the younger Euxton Girls teams which we hope will mean with some really hard work for the next few years, we will be able to sustain the 1st team and provide a real development pathway for young girls in the local area.

We are immensely proud of what our club has achieved - for years we have 'punched well above our weight' in a league where most clubs have substantial financial backing, we have survived by having good players, good management and good people around the club.

To kick start the funding for our new era, 4 of our current 1st team players, Janet Mitchell, Vicky Coope, Kathy Bonner and Ruth Harrison are going to run the Prestwich Challenge on June 11th 2017 - an 8 mile gruelling obstacle course that will be a true test of the ladies fitness!
All we are asking is that friends / family and anyone who believes this is a worthwhile cause donate a minimum of £1 to the cause - 100% of the money will go into Chorley Ladies FC. If all our friends and family just gave £1 we would raise much needed funds for the club.

    Thank you in anticipation :)
