Help bring the magic to Queen's Park Day!
Queen’s Park Day - fun, friends and food - is the highlight of the year for families from miles around. Part village fête with makers and bakers, live music and exhilarating arena acts, our annual park takeover is on Sunday 17th September. But this year, exceptionally, we’re asking for your help.
We - volunteers working with Queen’s Park Area Residents’ Association (QPARA) - fund the event largely through stalls’ income, with advertising and sponsorship from local businesses. That doesn’t cover things like the donkeys, climbing walls or our ever-popular children's entertainer, although we’ve always been able to find additional grant money for these ‘essential extras’.
This year, for the first time, some key local support is not available. Two of our usual Brent funds are out of bounds unusually because they gave us small grants last year. And then there’s inflation… We’re stymied!
To help subsidise the children’s activities at Queen’s Park Day this year we need to raise an additional £5,000.
Together we can ensure the day has all its usual magic and razzmatazz. Please donate whatever you can: £5, £10, £20 or £50, every pound helps. Give today and support this long-standing, free and inclusive celebration of park and community.
