The Redditch Community Gospel Choir needs your help to raise funds for mental health charities and support groups.

Here's a little information about Redditch Community Gospel Choir (RCGC)

Redditch Community Gospel Choir (RCGC) has for six years served the Redditch & Bromsgrove Community. The choir is locally formed, locally based to give people a sense of pride and ownership. Despite this since the choir started in May 2010, there have been participants from neighbouring Alcester, Birmingham, Solihull, Stourport on Severn, Studley and various parts of Warwickshire & Worcestershire.

As music is the universal language that cuts across all divides whether culture, gender, age or class. The aim of the gospel choir is to bring together a diverse group of the community who are inspired to sing and bring something positive and inspiring to the lives of others.

Gospel music is lively and embraces all music genres ranging from Jazz to Rock.

The choir sings across the community in schools, hospitals, nursing homes, the prisons, churches, festivals and wherever possible raising funds for charitable causes. This year the choir is raising funds as well as the awareness of mental health.

The funds will support Mind and Redditch Mental Health Action Group

Let's talk about MIND who is one of the charities who we will be raising money for!

Mind provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. They campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding.

Minds services include supported housing, crisis helplines, drop-in centres, employment and training schemes, counselling and befriending.

REDDITCH MENTAL HEALTH ACTION GROUP

Redditch Mental Health Action Group are a group of individuals and organisations concerned about issues surrounding mental health in Redditch. The group was formed in May 2013 and has the aims of highlighting support available in the borough and fighting for more services.
