Support the Read With Me Team as they take on the Gloucester 10k!

Why? Children who are unable to read properly at 7 never really catch up. These children do less well at school, have reduced employment choices, earning opportunities and a greater chance of going to prison.

Read With Me provides volunteers to hear children read in over 50 schools across Gloucestershire. Our dedicated volunteers hear each child read, on a one-to-one basis, twice a week. These sessions help to improve their social and literacy skills, and above all, their confidence.

It costs us just £50 to hear a child read for an entire year. Every penny you give will make a real difference by helping a child in Gloucestershire learn to read well: a lifetime skill that will change their life chances.

We're aiming to be the biggest team attending this year - you won't be able to miss our bright yellow t-shirts! We're also hoping for cooler weather this time around but we know that Team 10K is up for the challenge no matter what!

Last year's fundraising effort was a huge success, and this year we're aiming to do even better by raising a whopping £5,000 and we'd love your help! Every donation counts, no matter how big or small! Alternatively, sharing our page with your family, friends, neighbours, cousins (and anyone who will listen) is a great way to support us!
