Hi, my name is Rachel and you all may know me as Oscars mum!

I am a full time carer to Oscar and I also have another little boy called Jack.

Unfortunately on the 7th February a had a fall at home resulting in major injuries to my left knee. I have had to have surgery to repair my knee cap as the fall caused it to break into 2 pieces. During surgery they had to remove the smaller part due to it shattering whilst trying to be repaired. I also snapped my left ligament which needed to be repaired in surgery as well as the tissue around my knee cap needing repair.

I have been told I will be in a fixed brace for 6 weeks, followed by another brace that will be adjusted slowly for a further 6 weeks. I will then need intensive physio to get the strength back in my knee.

With being a full time carer for Oscar and not able to look after him properly and do my daily activities this has meant I have had to rely on my mum and Andrew (my husband) to help support me.

Andrew, is self employed and if he doesn't work he doesn't get paid. This has put a financial strain on the family on top of all the additional day to day stress of Oscars medical needs.

I understand times are hard but all donations no matter how small will be very much appreciated
