Please read our story on the council decision to close down our bird sanctuary.
Rainbow bird sanctuary was set up due to people having no were to re home injured and abandoned bird,
Over the years we have found more and more people handing in birds to us so we have needed to build more and more flights.
Newport council have now said due to us not obtaining planning permission to build the flights the have told us that it will need to be taken down and the sanctuary to close.
The sanctuary is self funded and now need to appealed against the councils decision.
We are hoping to raise £800 for the cost of the planning officer to submit our appeal.
We have a petition set up to put forward to the council when we submit the reapplication of planning. If you have not already signed PLEASE do so.
