Empower Our Kids with Fresh, Nutritious Food – Help Us Get a Rational Combi Oven!

Welcome to our fundraising page, where we invite you to join us in a mission that is close to our hearts – ensuring that the children of Gayhurst Community School have access to fresh, nutritious food every day.

Gayhurst is the founding school of Chefs in Schools which has just won outstanding achievement award from the BBC Food Awards.

With over 600 meals served daily, we believe that the right tools in our kitchen can make a world of difference in our children's lives. We are raising £11k to buy a new Rational combi oven for the school kitchen. The new oven is necessary to be able to cook the variety of different menu options that children love.

With current school funding the way it is the school cannot afford to buy a new oven as it currently receives approximately 10k per year to fund repairs and maintenance to its whole building.

Healthy, balanced meals are essential for the physical and mental well-being of our students. With the Rational combi oven, we can provide a wider range of nutritious options, ensuring that every child at Gayhurst gets the nourishment they need to excel in their studies.

How You Can Help:

We need your support to raise £11k for the Rational combi oven. Every donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to achieving our goal. If everyone contributed as little as a cost of a child’s meal £1.70 (£8.5 for week & £331.5 yearly) we would easily reach our target. Your contribution will make a tangible impact on the lives of our students and the entire Gayhurst community.
