Crowd funding was not something we thought we would be doing, but so many from the local community have kept on at us to set one up so that we can make Hayle Rec great again! Since taking on the Rec café we have seen much improvement in safety, atmosphere and community spirit. We have a great vision to see the area flourish as a community venue, with music, arts, dancing, food, entertainment and more throughout the year.

But it doesn't come cheap, so after out first outdoor cinema event this July so many people have encouraged us to keep going as there is a real tangible need for more family friendly events to occur. In the days we are now living in, running hospitality is really hard, and me being me i wouldn't ask for help, but have been humbled by the messages of support and offers of donations to enable us to grow the vision and momentum the Rec Café is having.

Donations would be to help organise/ host and insure family friendly community events going forward, we have another outdoor cinema booked for August 15th, and a Family Funday August 24th and hope for many more.

We have already invested heavily in the Café and have worked really hard to provide indoor sheltered seating for park/café users, we love the Rec and can see the huge potential to bring all demographics, all ages, from all over the area into a safe, beautiful space for all to enjoy.
