In Dagoretti, Kenya, education is a privilege not a right. For those children who are lucky enough to be able to attend school, classes are crammed and resources are at an absolute minimum. If you happen to be a pupil with a special educational need, quite often you are regarded as, "dull" and virtually written off. Not everyone thinks that though thankfully and Sr. Elenor, has enlisted our help to show that all children can be successful learners with the right help.
5 of us are heading out to Dagoretti at the end of May to help diagnose children with SEN, create plans for them, train staff and leave resources that will make interventions sustainable.
We are funding our own travel arrangements but need help to raise the money needed to buy the resources we need to take to the schools.
