    Story

June is CDH awareness month. We are hoping to raise £500 for the CDH UK by CDH Awareness Day on 28th June.
Never heard of CDH? Neither had we, until our little boy was diagnosed with it at our 20 week scan.
CDH is a life threatening condition affecting 1 in 2,250 babies. It occurs when some or all of the digestive organs herniate into the chest cavity, restricting the development of the lungs. The only cure is life saving surgery as soon as possible after birth. Life expectancy for babies with CDH in the UK is 50%.
It's every parent's worst nightmare to hear "there's a problem with your baby". CDH UK help provide vital information, advice and support to parents at every step of the way.
By raising funding and awareness we can help get the information out there about CDH and make sure no parent has to face this without support.
For more information about CDH and the work that CDH UK do to help parents, go to www.cdhuk.org.uk

    Thank you x

      Update from the Page owner

Hi everyone! I just want to say a huge thank you to all of you for your support and the many messages we've received. We won't be stopping here with fundraising for CDH UK - John's already planning to run the Manchester 10k or even marathon next year in their name! For now, we're just going to concentrate on our little hero and giving him the best start we possibly can. Thank you again, it means the world to us xxx

Thank you so much to everyone who has donated! We are now over a third of the way to target! Your support and messages mean so much. This week Rex has been growing even bigger and getting stronger and much more active. As a family we've connected with a couple of other CDH expectant parents through CDH UK, giving us a real sense of community. We'll keep you up to date on progress on the campaign and our little fighter! xx
