I've raised £5000 to Donate to King College Hospital

Earlier this year, I suffered a subarachnoid brain haemorrhage and I am lucky to be alive. It’s been an unreal sequence of events.
The week before the haemorrhage I suffered an unrelated knock to the head and went to St Thomas's hospital to get checked out. The following week, I was in the gym with my friend Andy. He was ready to finish up our session, but keen to carry on, I said "let's do triceps" he agreed and we walked over to the machine. I then had a headache and my eyes shut. Being who I am I told Andy I'd be fine.
Andy thought otherwise and after some persuasion managed to get me out of the gym and into the car and drove me to Lewisham A&E hospital. By this stage I was not aware of what was happening to me. Lewisham looked after me very well until I was transferred to King's College Hospital by ambulance, unaware of the severity of the situation.
I then woke up on Wednesday morning in King’s College Hospital having suffered a subarachnoid haemorrhage. Initially, the doctors wanted to discharge me but in the end I was thankfully kept in for a further two weeks, for more tests, CT scans and rehabilitation. The care was incredible and I am so grateful to the team who helped save my life
Eight months have gone past and I'm back at work, I’m back cycling but unfortunately not yet back in the gym- one day!
I am taking part in The Ride London event; a 160K bike ride from Central London to Essex on the 24th of May. I hope to fundraise as much as possible for the neuro team at Kings College Hospital who saved my life, when I had my subarachnoid brain haemorrhage. Please, if you can sponsor me via Just Giving!
Update: I have decided that in addition to The Ride London event I will also commit myself to cycling the Hell of the Ashdown event on Sunday February 25th and also the Strade Bianche in Tuscany on March 2nd! This is a huge challenge but if it raises more funds for this worthy cause then it's worth it in the end!
