Ride for Rhinos 2024: Supporting Conservation in Eswatini and Kruger National Park
The Ride for Rhinos 2024 event aims to raise £10,000 to support two critical conservation projects: one in Eswatini and the other in Kruger National Park, South Africa, in partnership with the SANParks Honorary Rangers.
These projects, spearheaded by Big Game Parks in Eswatini and the SANParks Honorary Rangers in South Africa, will play a crucial role in protecting endangered species and enhancing conservation efforts.
The Eswatini Project: This initiative focuses on providing solar energy for electric security fencing to protect a vital area home to the rhino population in Eswatini. Ensuring sustainable, reliable power for these fences is essential for safeguarding these magnificent creatures from poaching.
The Kruger National Park Project: This project, in partnership with SANParks and the SANParks Honorary Rangers, involves rejuvenating and maintaining a key enclosure within the park. The funds will support efforts to reintroduce rare antelope species and to rehabilitate and care for both black and white rhinos. This initiative will significantly contribute to these species' conservation and the park's overall biodiversity.
All profits from a motorcycle tour happening in August this year will contribute to the final fundraising total. Please note that all participants in the tour are self-funded, meaning that every penny donated here will go directly to these two vital conservation projects.
Your support in funding these initiatives will potentially bring the total raised by Ride for Rhinos to over £35,000 since 2017. Together, we can make a lasting impact on the future of these endangered species.
