Story

The Road2Uganda is a fundraising event that has pushed me to my very limits. Between January 3rd-January 6th of 2017 I completed over 4 marathons in 4 days, from the North West to the North East of England. In total, the Road2Uganda was 115 miles long.

I have always wanted to help those who are less fortunate than myself particularly in terms of opportunity, education, and access to basic human needs such as food, water, and health care. I believe the Road2Uganda has given me, and everybody who has donated so far, an opportunity to make a tangible and meaningful difference in enhancing the lives of people in a deprived area of Uganda.

I have volunteered in local communities in Uganda twice since 2017 working with disabled children and in sports development at local schools. So far the Road2Uganda campaign has raised £8,036.00 ($ 11,212.00) and has officially built the 'building of value creation' at Hebron Junior School. This building will educate an extra 150 children per term and make a truly tangible difference to each child's life.

Now we are changing our views to other areas of Uganda, where people are suffering, such as helping; in the slums and at educational facilities across the country. If you would like to this continued effort to helping others less fortunate than ourselves, then any contribution would be hugely grateful.

In these times of great uncertainty, of uproot and turmoil across many of the poorest regions of the world, it is more important than ever that we look out for others and do all we can to help other human beings.
